Pevensey and Westham

Westham, part of Pevensey and Westham, is a small village to the west of Pevensey castle. Pevensey village, a Cinq Porrt, is full of history dating back to Roman times. Westham's history is tied in with the Castle. Its name comes from the Saxon ham meaning enclosure, and translates to the "West enclosure" probably of the Castle. Pevensey castle dates back to Roman times when it was a fortified island and the village itself is a cinq port. Pevensey and Westham are just a few miles to the east of Eastbourne town centre and less than a mile inland from Sovereign Harbour and Pevensey Bay.
Westham itself has a few local village services, mostly eating establishments. Further services are available at Pevensey on the other side of the castle. Trains can be caught in the village with a regular service from Hastings to Eastbourne. Our premises are about 500 metres level walk from the station.
Visitors using public transport can get a taxi from outside Eastbourne or Polegate station for the 15 minute journey to our showroom.
Eastbourne receives over 2.5 million tourists a year from all over the world so there is plenty of accommodation. If you fancy visiting the Weather Shop why not make a weekend of it and stopover. Visit www.visiteastbourne.com for more information.
