Pevensey and Westham

Westham, part of Pevensey and Westham, is a small village to the west of Pevensey castle. Pevensey village, a Cinq Porrt, is full of history dating back to Roman times. Westham's history is tied in with the Castle. Its name comes from the Saxon ham meaning enclosure, and translates to the "West enclosure" probably of the Castle. Pevensey castle dates back to Roman times when it was a fortified island and the village itself is a cinq port. Pevensey and Westham are just a few miles to the east of Eastbourne town centre and less than a mile inland from Sovereign Harbour and Pevensey Bay.
How to Find Us
We are conveniently located at Westham Business Park on the B2191, east of Eastbourne town centre. We have free dedicated visitor parking. We are 5 minutes walk from Westham & Pevensey railway station which has regular services to and from London Victoria or Gatwick Airport via Eastbourne and along the south coast from Ashford International in the east and Southampton or Bournemouth in the west.
By road we are located at the south end of the A22 from London and off the A27/A259 main south coast road. The best route from London and the north is to follow the M/A23 from the M25 to Brighton. Then follow the A27 to east to Eastbourne. Once you reach the junction with the A22 go north for half a mile to the large Cophal Roundabout and continue east along the A27 Polegate by pass. At the next roundabout take the second southerly exit to Eastbourne and immediately left at the next roundabout on to the B2247. A couple of miles further on in Westham you will get to a mini roundabout. Turn right here on to the B2191 to Eastbourne. About 500 metres over the level crossing you will get to Westham Busines Park. Take the first on the left and second on the right and you will find us at the end of that road.
