• Communities

  There are many what might be termed communities of weather enthusiasts on the internet.

  Some are actually commercial portals using world wide weather gathered from their "community" of users to provide a public and commercial services. As a rule their public services are a means to deliver advertising content using their weather service as the driver.

  Others are more often described as forums, for they usually started as discussion forums. As they have developed some of them have grown into rich resources of additional information.
