The console is a high definition screen providing crisp, clear data for ease of use. A light sensor automatically detects when the backlight should be on as night draws in. Alternatively the supplied ac adapter can be used for continuous backlight.

The Weather Forecast is broadcast free of charge alongside the HGB (Switzerland) and DCF (Germany) LW time signals. These are easily received up to 1700 km away.

The forecast information is broadcast over a rolling 24 hours. The unit displays time and weather for cities within the regions. It can be set to quickly scroll through your 5 favourite locations and one location name can be manually entered.
