National Geographic Weather Stations

Filter

National Geographic weather stations pair genuinely capable sensor hardware with styling designed to sit in a living room rather than a laboratory. Built in partnership with Bresser, they measure the full set — temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, rainfall and UV — and send it to your phone over WiFi.

We are an official UK stockist, so every unit carries UK support, a UK power supply and a UK warranty.

The National Geographic weather centre range

Two complete stations. The 7-in-1 WiFi Weather Station 9080600 measures temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV and light intensity from a single solar-powered outdoor array, and uploads over WiFi to a free app so you can read your garden from anywhere. The 9080500 Colour 5-in-1 covers the core five measurements on a colour display and is the better buy if UV and light readings are not important to you.

    What "7-in-1" actually means

The number counts the measurements taken by the outdoor sensor. Both models give you wind and rain as well as temperature, humidity and pressure — that is what separates a complete weather station from a simple forecaster. The 7-in-1 adds UV index and light intensity, which matter for gardening under glass and for anyone tracking sun exposure.

    Putting your readings online

Both stations connect to your home WiFi and push readings to a free smartphone app with historical graphs, and both can upload to Weather Underground to add your garden to the global network.

    Optics and gifts

The National Geographic range extends beyond weather. The Digital Night Vision Binoculars record video and stills in the dark and are a reliable present for wildlife watchers. More ideas are in our gadget gifts range.

    How it compares

National Geographic sits alongside Bresser and Accur8 at the accessible end of the market and does everything most homes need. If you want a professional platform that can be expanded with soil, leaf and solar sensors and supported for a decade, look at Davis. To compare every option side by side, see Complete Home Weather Stations.
