The WS9140 was purchased to replace my older ES9632-17 which was not registering outside temperatue. Before setting up WS9140-17 the older model started workingagain. Have not used the new one yet!

Far better than previous devices of this type

I was so relieved when I opened the box to discover that the instrument was made in Germany. So many Chinese ones in the past have come and gone. The last Chinese one stopped working after a couple of months.

The clock itself is really nice, however sorting out how to get it onto English time is a nightmare. Fortunately we have now done that. The booklet is not clear and not geared up to anyone not in Germany where the clock is manufactured. That said I contacted customer services who gave me a fix which didn't work I was expecting a call back which didn't come.

Worth every penny! Clear and simple to set up and use. Needed to keep track of temp in and out of a greenhouse. Wanted to check I was maintaining inside over 5 degrees C.
