  2. WeatherDisplay32

    Weather Display is an extremely feature rich and powerful package. It requires some effort on the part of the user to set it up but once you have you will find just how capable it is.


    You can find out somthing about its capabilities, but not all, about it by visiting www.weather-display.com. You can download it from here and it will work as a 30 day evaluation after which you will have to license it to continue using it.

    Because it comes at a very low price for such a powerfull tool and because it is constatnly being developed there is no manual for it. There is however an excellent forum with many thousands of users around the world who have experience of using WeatherDisplay. Additionally the author monitors the forum regularly and this is the best plase to get support from him.

    Myth #1: Serial Ports are Obsolete?

  4. Registering Weather Display

    You will need install the full working version, wdisplay32.exe, from the CD supplied. Once you have done this save the key file to the root directory / folder of the WeatherDisplay32. By default this is C:/program files/wdisplay. You can do this MS Outlook by right clicking on the attachment, selecting "Save As" and browsing to the correct directory / folder.  When you start WeatherDisplay32 it will find the key.



    Please note that you do not have to enter anything in to the registration option in WeatherDisplay32. It will find all of it's license information from the license key file. Do not try to open the license key file as this may result in the file being renamed or corrupted .

    From there you will need to locate the station, use the correct weather station settings, e.g. WMR928 or WS2300, and configure your units and offsets.

  5. HeavyWeather

    HeavyWeather software is produced by the manufacturer of the Technoline and La Crosse Technology weather stations. It is very simple to use but they don't offer any support or forum.


    There are several parts to the software starting with the the basic station software to which you can add the review and web publishing modules.

    The software was included on the disk that came with your weather station but later versions / updates can be downloaded from;

  6. WeatherDisplay Live

    WeatherDisplay Live is a Flash application that residess on a web server and not your local PC. It requires a few very small files to be uploaded to the web server for each update. You must have a URL address [e.g. www.yourwebserver.com] for you web server and you will require ftp access to the server to upload the intitail configuration and the continous updates.
